We're Not Fooling Around

Most of the schools are kicking this month off with Spring Break, but don't be April fooled! The Dojo will remain on regular schedule throughout the week.

We've got some big things happening this month, so take a minute to see what's coming to the Dojo in April.

First off, Congratulations to our March 2019 Student of the Month, Stone V.! Ever since he earned his Purple Belt, Stone has had a renewed focus and energy that helped propel him to earning this award. Way to go, Stone!

Coming up on Saturday, April 13th is the USSD Las Vegas Tournament in-you guessed it- Las Vegas, NV! We've got a small team made up of students from each class (Lil Dragons, Juniors, Teens, and Adults) heading out to represent the San Clemente Dojo in Katas and Point-Sparring events. Even if you can't make it out to Vegas, make sure to make it in to all of your group training to help improve your Katas and Sparring over the next couple of weeks. The next opportunity for our students to compete will be the USSD Orange County Tournament scheduled for Saturday, June 8th.

Stop by our booth to break boards and win prizes at the City of San Clemente's Summer "Campalooza" on Saturday, April 20th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Meet our instructors and learn more about how our Bully Blockers summer camp can teach your child how to fight back against bullying, and how to recognize, avoid, and escape from "Stranger Danger" situations. And finally, coming up at the beginning of next month are our Spring Belt Tests. The Teen/Adult Belt Test is scheduled for Friday, May 3rd at 6:00 pm (Teen and Adult Kempo group classes will be cancelled for that evening), and the Kids Belt Test is scheduled for Saturday, May 4th at 11:00 am. If you or your child will be ready to test in May, you should receive an email with the details shortly, and Belt Invitations can be picked up at the front desk beginning this Wednesday. The next Belt Tests are tentatively scheduled for early August.
